Honest answers

Where do the frost dates come from?

For US ZIP codes we use zone-level estimates based on the USDA 2023 Plant Hardiness Zone Map and published frost-date tables. For other countries we estimate your climate from 15 years of local daily weather history (Open-Meteo archive). Either way, dates are long-term averages — a guide for planning, not a weather forecast.

Is this a subscription?

No. The main product is a one-time payment of $37. Pay once, use it every season. There are two optional one-time add-ons at checkout (a printable pack and a multi-year/second-garden upgrade) — also one-time, never recurring.

Will it work where I live?

It works worldwide: choose your country and enter your postal code. US locations use our seeded USDA-zone data (fastest and most specific); everywhere else we compute your zone and frost dates from your local weather history. Southern-hemisphere seasons are handled correctly, and frost-free tropical locations get a year-round calendar with clearly labelled general guidance.

What exactly do I get?

Your hardiness zone, average last/first frost dates, and a month-by-month planting calendar for 40 common vegetables — when to sow indoors, direct sow, transplant, fall-sow, and when harvest should begin — plus a vegetable library, per-garden planning, 14-day reminders, and a printable season plan.

I'm a beginner. Is this for me?

Yes — the calendar tells you what to do and when, in plain dates, for the most forgiving popular vegetables. It won't replace local experience or a soil test, and we don't promise any yield: weather happens. It gives you the right timing, which is where most beginners lose their crops.
